When setting up a prize sponsorship, The Competition Platform recommends following these content guidelines. This is so your competition looks great as well as receives the maximum entries.
What content do you need?
Images
Competitions with good quality images are more likely to be used in marketing material and also any promotion that is done around the competitions.
- Landscape image 800×500 pixels
- All imagery must be lifestyle imagery
- All images must be the same size
- No imagery should be on a solid white background
Competition title
Competitions with good titles, draw the reader’s attention to the prize.
- Title MUST start with the word “Win”
- The title should be no longer than 55 characters
- Make sure to include the product/brand name after the word Win
Competition copy
Now’s the time to show off your brand and prize, this is about you!
- Description of the prize/brand in 250 words
- Mention any specific terms and conditions relating to the prize
Multiple-choice questions
Now’s the time for brand reinforcement
- The question is used as an entry mechanism to the competition
- 1 question, 3 possible answers relating to the brand/prize which can be found within the copy
Prize Sponsor Benefits available – For a small fee
For maximum promotion and data collection (should you choose)
- Include data capture to identify readers who want to hear from your brand
- Include weblink or social links to make readers aware of your website
- The newsletter feature allows you to be the main feature of our weekly competition newsletter
- Include a video to showcase your prize and products/services
- Readers offer gives the readers a discount code to use at checkout
