The Competition Platform makes setting up competitions quick and simple, just follow this step-by-step guide.
Step 1 – Select a publication and decide on a prize
Choosing the right title to run your competition in is vital to ensuring that you reach your target audience. To find the right title, click on one of the media packs on the media packs tab to find the title best suited to you and your needs.
Likewise, having a prize that will appeal to your target audience will vastly increase your chances of success. The prize can be anything but a top tip would be to make it a money can’t buy prize. These get users excited about entering your competition and that increases the number of entries you get.
Step 2 – Pick a date
Agree on an available date with your account manager for the competition to go live. You will then receive a link from your account manager to upload the competition assets (an image, copy and a question). You can show off your product, and tell users all about your brand while the question allows you to reinforce the brand. Once this is done, you can set up your account on The Competition Platform.
Step 3 – Customise your features
The Competition Platform has Prize Sponsor Benefits that maximise the opportunity of being a prize sponsor. These include Data Capture and social media links. (The prices of these range from £100 to £750 and are listed in the media packs). These are exclusive and only available to prize sponsors.
Step 4 – The competition goes live
After you’ve submitted your competition, your account manager will check it over to make sure it’s good to go. They’ll then send you a preview link so you can check it over as well. Once that’s done your account manager will make your competition live! Competitions run for 4 weeks and the Competition Platform allows you to view real-time reports, so you can see how your competition is performing.
Step 5 – Promotion and winners
The best way to maximise the number of entries for your competition is by sharing it on social media. We share competitions through our Giveaway Treasures social media accounts but share them on your own accounts too for maximum publicity.
Arguably the best part of running the competition is drawing the winners, sending them their prize(s) and making their day! Once the competition ends, you will receive an email telling you your competition has ended and to call 0114 3990 828 where one of our team will be happy to help you notify the lucky winners!
Running a competition is one of the best and simplest ways of drawing attention to your brand, and by following these simple steps you are well on your way to creating excellent competitions.
